Project Description

Akala is the world’s first precision wellness environment, a new standard of luxury living situated in the heart of the Dubai International Financial Centre, offering uninterrupted views of the Burj Khalifa. The project is designed to harmonise wellbeing, precision, and sophistication, integrating state-of-the-art wellness science with world-class hospitality and residential design.

Created by Arada, one of the UAE’s most ambitious and forward-thinking developers, Akala offers a unique blend of ultra-luxury residences and curated amenities designed to nurture mind and body. To communicate the uniqueness of this destination, Arada required more than traditional renderings or brochures. They needed an immersive way to transport buyers into the future of the project.

Virtuelle developed a hyper-realistic interactive application using Unreal Engine. The experience included:

  • Exterior: A full 3D recreation of the tower in its DIFC setting with panoramic views
  • Shared spaces: Explorable lobby and wellness amenities that highlight the precision wellness concept
  • Residences: Walkthroughs of selected apartments, including 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and one of the six-bedroom penthouses

Special care was given to the materials, lighting, and ambience of the interiors, designed with elegant Italian soft furnishings, to ensure the experience reflected Akala’s promise of precision luxury. The process involved a close collaboration between Arada’s design team and Virtuelle’s 3D artists and creative director, ensuring that every detail aligned with the project's vision.
